The Hollister Area Chamber of Commerce held its last luncheon of 2014 at The Keeter Center Thursday. In addition to the Hollister High School Chamber Singers sharing their melodies, Superintendent Brian Wilson shared that the school board approved the no-tax increase bond issue for the April ballot.
The bond is going to focus on three main areas: safety, expansion and technology, Wilson said.
“It’s going to be about students and what we (the district) can provide for them,” Wilson said. “We are in the kid business... We’re thinking of their future as well as ours.”
Through collaborations with the entire school, Wilson said the bond issue will tackle the needs, rather than the wants, of the district.
The bond issue will be on April’s ballot. Wilson said education materials will be available soon.
