Branson Alderman Bob Simmons presented the city’s November Employee of the Month award to Wendall Rackley of the utilities department Tuesday evening.
Rackley has been working with the utilities department for a year in the lift station waste water treatment plant.
“Wendall is very dependable and hard working. He gets along with everyone and is a great team player,” Simmons said.
Simmons said Rackley recently assisted with sand filter bridges at Compton Wastewater Treatment Plant where he fabricated and welded the axle and wheel assembly that saved the city $1,200.
“He also fabricated a raised bracket for the coolant reservoir on the effluent generator to allow for better air flow to prevent engine failure, and saved the city $1,800,” Simmons said.
Rackley received his Class D waste water treatment license from the Department of Natural Resources.
“(He) takes pride in all he does. Wendall displays the city of Branson values in teamwork, cooperation, excellence, service and courtesy,” Simmons said.
Rackley thanked the board of aldermen and the mayor for the award.
