FORSYTH — The server that connects all computers from the city of Forsyth’s municipal network is in need of an upgrade.

City Finance Officer Angela Leist advised city officials of the need during a recent Board of Aldermen meeting.

Leist said “the server that connects us all together” has had new memory chips installed to expand its capacity. She that has improved operations, but technical support has told her the server should be replaced.

“He said it is reaching the end of its life,” Leist said.

When asked about replacement estimates, Leist said they start at $2,500 and go up to as much as wanted.
