BLUE EYE — Blue Eye’s volleyball team came back to knock off Spokane 16-25, 25-23, 25-14 Tuesday.
The Lady Bulldogs won with defense, as Trinity Young posted six blocks, Emily Helms four and Kohnnar Patton two. Patton netted 11 kills and Taylor Arnold dished out 23 assists.
Lady Pirates bow to Cards
Branson’s softball team was victimized by a Webb City comeback Tuesday, as the Lady Pirates lost 9-4.
Branson held a 5-2 lead going into the bottom of the fifth inning, before the Lady Cardinals plated seven runs over the fifth and sixth innings.
Savannah Miller was 3-for-4 for the Lady Pirates (14-13). Cat Ford had two hits, Lauren Garrison added an RBI double and Belleanne Johnson contributed an RBI single.
Ford struck out four and walked one.
Hollister’s volleyball team dropped a 25-20, 25-20 decision to Bolivar on Tuesday.
Raven Ross had four kills, two blocks and 11 digs and Angel Yalacki added three kills for the Lady Tigers (6-10-1).
Lady Panthers tumble
Forsyth’s tennis team lost 5-1 to Rogersville in Class 1 District 11 action Tuesday.
The Lady Panthers opened District play with a 5-0 victory versus Reeds Spring on Monday.
Grace Wright and Lexi Saggle came back from a 7-5 deficit to win 9-8 (7-5) at No. 1 doubles. Sophie Hesketh avenged two regular-season losses by winning 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 singles and Meadow Mardis clinched the Lady Panthers’ win with a 7-5, 6-2 win at No. 6 singles.
Blue Eye’s baseball team suffered a 3-2, eight-inning setback at the hands of Southwest on Tuesday.
Jacob Crouthamel struck out nine and allowed two runs over the first 5.2 innings for the Bulldogs. Ryan Regan rapped out two hits.
Branson splits matches
Branson's volleyball team fell at the hands of Carl Junction 25-22, 25-16 Tuesday.
The Lady Pirates (8-8) received five kills from Morgan LeBlanc, 13 digs and three aces from Kayli Nimmo and 13 assists from Grace Dean.
Branson beat Springfield Glendale 25-21, 25-17 Monday.
Caroline Wescott had seven kills, Dean had 16 assits. and Keaton Wilczynkski netted three aces
